• Copy painting based on the technique of the Russian icon painting.
• Preparation of the wooden board.
• Preparation of gesso and multi-layered covering.
• Painting with egg tempera. |

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• have an overview about the history and picture philosophy characteristic to the Eastern Church.
• be capable of applying technology that is characteristic to the preparation of the egg tempera painting;
• an initial experience in preparing an icon print with egg tempera paints;
• have developed the skills of concentration and persistence in a detailed performance. |
