• Overview about the main aspects in technique’s history and main terminology.
• Creating premises for using the technique in designs and skills to perform the work in this technique.
• Introduction to the techniques and a design process.
• Preparing a drawing.
• Preparing and creating a sgraffito sample.
• Preparing a sample to paint in the method of pittura uso alfresco, and painting. |

| Study outcome |

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• able to draft the compositions characteristic to the technique according to the space and situation;
• be able to prepare a wall for covering it with arrichiato (base plaster) (Arrichiato. Intonacco.), finish a surface and process it according to the devised project;
• be able to make the designed sample in the sgraffito technique on the wall or board;
• have acquired the main technical and art-related knowledge and skills in the sgraffito technique;
• acquired the basic knowledge about the physical-chemical qualities and the interaction of the used materials;
• be capable of preparing a sample in the method of pittura uso alfresco, and painting a surface. |
