| Brief historical overview about the gilding techniques. Mixing gesso and preparing a gilding board. Gilding a sample, experiments and exercises. |

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• be familiar with the historical application possibilities and methods of a gilding technique;
• have the necessary knowledge and skills to mix gesso;
• have the necessary knowledge and experience to perform water and oil gilding;
• be able to use the necessary tools;
• be able to apply a gilding technique in the restoration works. |
