• Photos + graphos the basics of vision and seeing;
• the physical qualitative properties of light (intensity, direction, frequency);
• using analysis to see, determine and choose light;
• light as an object or as a means;
• the relationship of light and shadow, it's technical measurement and creative use in creating an image;
• systematic perception of light, it's creative use to achieve one's objectives;
• critique seminars; |

On successful completion of this course the students should be able to:
• know the physical properties of light
• perceive the individuality of the act of seeing in cooperation with the camera
• can apply these to their work technically and creatively;
• notice the limits of light and use this in the visualization process;
• analyze their work, determine and correct mistakes in the end result. |
