General description
• Short introduction into stone lithography, examples; • Lithography as print making technique, tools and materials; • Designing the draft on a given topic considering the possibilities of stone lithography. • Printing materials; • Conveying the draft into lithography, printing. Work modes.

Aim
The objective is to acquire basic and main theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in stone lithography. Exploring the working principles of stone lithography as a print making technique. Skills to use the acquired knowledge of stone lithography technique in other media and to tie them together. Developing the practical manual skill of drawing and valuing the specific outcome through the printing process. Developing independent creative thinking and exploring the opportunities to implement stone lithography into future work in the field of graphic design.

Study outcome
Upon completion of the course, students will: 1. have basic knowledge of stone lithography; 2. be able to use lithography techniques in a creative and personalized manner in book design, illustrations and posters, combining the designs; 3. be able to tie acquired knowledge and skills to digital painting and character design; 4. be able to use the lithography technique and tie it to graphic design; 5. have significantly supplemented one’s profession-specific knowledge in the field of jointly implementing different techniques (free graphics and communication design).
