Aim
The objective is to provide the knowledge about the preparation of high-quality prints for the offset printing; the ability to choose tools (graphic and image processing software), use them in a purposeful manner and understand the working process of the printing production; the ability to use the tools for the preparation of prints and improvement of printing quality; the ability to assess the requirements for printing quality; to create premises for the competition on the labour market, continuous education and professional self-development.
Study outcome
Upon completion of the course, students will:
1. be able to distinguish an offset print from other printing methods and to choose an appropriate printing method for the prints;
2. comprehend the properties of the offset printing method;
3. be able to prepare for the offset printing;
4. be able to adjust their computer’s workspace;
5. be able to complete the layout for the offset printing.
