• Exploring different genres. Particular emphasis will be given to the documentary genre
• Exploring the characteristic patterns of documentary film and composing these themselves. Learning the creation of a purposeful narrative
• Learning to perceive the general and the singular and specific amidst it, and their interrelationship |

| The objective is to advance the knowledge gained in the Elementary Video Directing and to supplement the editing skills in the video editing program Avid; work with an idea; video recording and preparation for editing; forming an idea into an audio-visual purposeful narrative; development of creative thinking and teaching the audiovisual narration skill and sense of composition; understanding and analysing the picture and sound language of the video. |

| Study outcome |

Upon completion of the course, students will:
1. understand the nature of documentary films and be able to see the whole from the interaction of the various elements;
2. be able to express themselves through documentaries - from developing an idea to the practical skills. |
