| General description |
• Designing unlimited surface on a decorative paper (paste paper, marbled paper, salt paper, batik paper).
• Designing half leather bindings.
• Designing a border.
• Designing ornaments on unlimited surface.
• Designing ornaments on limited surface. Designing leather objects while taking the specifics of onlay technique into consideration.
• Compositions in paper moulding technique.
• Designing the content and covers of a binding in Japanese technique. |

| Study outcome |
Upon completion of the course, students will:
• be familiar with the techniques of designing ornaments and apply them in designing a limited and unlimited surface;
• be able to design a half leather binding and round box based on the material and technique;
• be familiar with the technology of paper making and decorative papers;
• be able to creatively design a Japanese binding;
• be able to clearly explain their ideas and concepts. |
