• Finding the sources for inspiration and sketching initial ideas.
• Selecting the best ideas and developing them further.
• Completing plans and presenting them as a maquette or surface compositions.
• Preparing a maquette and constructing patterns.
• Selecting suitable materials, decorative elements and fittings.
• Practical work:
- analysing the suitability of the materials;
- solving problems regarding the technologies;
- using performance and finishing techniques. |

| Aim |

| The objective is to design an accessory based on theme of the exhibition or competition while using the possibilities of leather art techniques and combining together different materials, fittings and decoration elements. Carrying out the best chosen idea in material. |

| Study outcome |

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• have an overview about different exclusive materials and their qualities that are necessary to complete the work;
• be able to use different leather decoration techniques;
• be capable of creating original conceptual designs with personal solutions and presenting them correctly;
• be capable of selecting suitable materials and techniques in carrying out the idea and use them innovatively;
• be familiar and know how to use the machines necessary to perform the work: different sewing machines and specific tools, additional aids;
• be capable of developing technical solution suitable for the composition and carry out in practice. |
