• Similarities and differences between a font’s meaning and appearance • Creative design of a typeface • Tone of a voice or sound as a visual object • Font stylistics AimThe objective is to practice the use of calligraphy and computer generated fonts in various fields. Advance in the knowledge gained in the elementary course of Adobe Illustrator and in practical uses of the potentials of vector graphics’ programs. Introduction to computer generated fonts. Understand the change in meaning and context associated with the use of different typefaces. Develop creative thinking, teach a sense of composition. Support new innovative ideas and to find solutions in the field of typography.
Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
1. be able to express themselves in a creative use of calligraphy; 2. be able to implement fonts in professional work, associate fonts with context and meaning; 3. combine different capabilities of vector graphics and image processing in completing their work purposefully and intentionally; 4. have all the potential to become creative artists.
