• Movements in the frame - the people’s (viewers’) expectations to (advertising) video • The clients’ expectations to (advertising) video • Client relations during the video process • Overview of the history of experimental animation as the predecessor of contemporary motion graphics • Overview of the main principles in motion graphics and animation: naturalness of movements, using text in the timeline, etc. • Developmental phases of a creative project AimThe objective is to create a moving narrative (video), which has a specific outcome and client. Such as a promotional video, music video, reputational video etc. Video will include both the filmed footage, as well as the effects and/or motion graphics attached to it.
Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
1. have satisfactory technical knowledge to do sketches, planning, shoots, editing and sound editing for a practical film or video project, or be able to effectively delegate these tasks to the members in their work group; 2. possess the creative independence for the creation of a complete and efficient project; 3. be able to communicate with the client and to find optimal solutions for the completion of contracted work; 4. be able to co-ordinate a workgroup when needed; 5. be able to work as an independent professional in the field of Estonian film and video production.
