To provide the comprehensive knowledge of the design process and the development of design methods. To provide the knowledge of the product development for the work with design assignments. To introduce the principles of ergonomics, universal design and product functionality used in the product design. To provide the basic information about the sign system related to the built environment and the semantic turn. Study outcomeUpon completion, students will
have the knowledge of the main aspects of the design history; comprehend the design disciplines, process and methods; considers the logic of the design process when performing the product development projects; comprehend the principles of ergonomics and universal design and when creating products, considers their functionality; comprehend the sign systems related to the products.
