• Introduction to drawing materials.
• Adhesives of traditional paints, water-soluble adhesives and mixing these paints in practice, the adhesives of oil paints and mixing these paints in practice, the adhesives of emulsion paints and mixing these paints in practice, the most popular pigments. Different materials of paint boards.
• Introduction to the work techniques.
• Creating a colour chart from the mixed traditional paints and a summary.

The objective is to provide an overview about the most common art materials, traditional paints, popular pigments, adhesives and fillers and their application.

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• aware and capable of using traditional drawing materials, brushing techniques;
• be aware of which paints are the most suitable and reasonable to use on different surfaces;
• be familiar with the most common pigments, adhesives and fillers;
• have acquired the skill to prepare the traditionally used paints.
