General description

• Development of monumental art, application, famous examples and popular techniques in the second half of the 20th century; popular interior design techniques and monumental paintings;
• Monumental painting in Estonia.

Aim

The objective is to provide an overview about the architectural works that have a symbolic meaning and affect urban space the most, and the development of monumental art in the Estonian context.

Study outcome

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• be aware of the development of monumental art in Estonia;
• have an overview about the main art pieces and artists;
• perceive the possible developments and possibilities of this artistic discipline.
