General description• Technique development.
• Using covering colours (gouache and acrylic paint). • Painting a half-figure and figure from life. • Figure and nude in natural and artificial light. • Different painting technical composition possibilities. • Abstract and realistic depiction. • Using a microscopic and macroscopic motif. Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
• be able to use the techniques of gouache and acrylic painting in creating a material still-life and depicting portraits, half-figures and figures; • be able to model a form with colour tones, lightness-darkness and light-shadow; • be familiar with the possibilities to use colouring and mixing colours; • be able to apply the principles of the colour aspects of light-darkness, intensity, cold-warm in their works; • be able to create a whole in the pictorial surface and solve the problems regarding the detail/generalisation; • be able to make interesting painting compositions based on the work’s character; • be able to use different motifs and approaches in depicting their ideas.
