General description

• General principles of working with culturally valuable objects.
• Introduction to different restoration principles.
• Details and main style characteristics.
• Finishing materials and techniques used in different historical periods.
• Era-based design.
• Draft project for the assigned object.

Study outcome

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• be familiar with the general principles to work in the culturally valuable object;
• be able to read, use and prepare necessary documentation;
• be familiar with the architectural constructions according to the periodical changes;
• be able to create a room entity authentic to era, by combining it with the suitable décor and/or paintings;
• be able to create a stylish room entity according to the object’s historical specifics;
• be able to clearly present the design that is created according to the historical style.
