Using textiles in interior design.
History of interior textiles, stylistic analysis of interiors.
Contemporary textile materials, trends in interior design.
Interior textile companies, their product range.
Mapping the client's expectations.
Private and public interior.
Analysis of interior textiles based on functions and materials.
Analysis of interiors based on effects of colour and material combinations.
Analysis of materials.
Visualization of ideas, cooperation with clients.

Study outcome

Having passed the course the student
has received knowledge in using textiles in interior design;
is able to recognise common stylistic features in interior design and analyse their own choices critically;
is familiar with contemporary textiles and interior trends;
has acquired an overview of interior design companies and their opportunities in Estonia;
has acquired experience in cooperation with the client;
is able to make decisions considering relevant conditions in designing private and public interiors;
is able to visualize ideas for the client;
is able to present a project and justify their choices;
is able to analyse and employ effects of colour and material combinations in designing interior textiles.
