• The periods of the history of fashion from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21th century.
• Fashion designers from different periods and the impact of their works on the development of fashion.
• Political, economical and cultural events that have had an impact on fashion.

The objective is to provide an overview about the periods of the 20th century fashion history.

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• distinguish between the periods of the 20th century fashion history and works of the well-known designers;
• be able to name the characteristic features of the 20th century fashion periods;
• be aware of the political, economical and cultural events that have had the impact on the history of fashion;
• have acquired the ability to collect and analyse the specialty-related information and to present it orally and in writing.
