• Personal tools and their maintenance. • Work with machines. • Understanding the materials necessary for the practical work of the specialty: papers and cardboards, leathers, clothes, threads, strings, ribbons, adhesives, pastes, attachments (fittings), paints, varnishes, finishing materials, auxiliary materials. • Searching for information about the materials from the literature. • Independent practical work with materials. Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
• have the knowledge about safety requirements; • be capable of using different tools and machines safely; • be able to maintain the necessary tools; • be familiar with the qualities of materials; • be able to find information about the materials used; • be able to create a planned object while taking the specifics of the materials into consideration.
