Designing accessories based on the function and chosen target group. Practising presenting and developing ideas in practice. Sewing leather accessories.
• Design solutions for different accessories: belts, bags, pockets, earrings, necklaces, bracelets.
• Developing single works into series. Developing a series of compositional elements with different positions and emphasis.
• Collection of accessories based on the specific person.
• Carrying out the best chosen idea in material.
• Finding sources for inspiration, sketching the initial ideas and developing them further.
• Finding, inventing and experimenting with different presentation styles for the work.
• Making a maquette and constructing patterns based on the chosen design draft.
• Selecting suitable materials, decorative elements and fittings.

The objective is to design original accessories to the chosen target group and to carry out the idea in material. Practising presenting and developing ideas in practice while developing creative thinking.

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• analyse the application possibilities of leather accessories at the present time;
• creatively design different leather accessories;
• comprehend the principles of creating a stylistic whole;
• construct patterns and maquettes;
• be capable of selecting suitable materials and techniques in carrying out the idea and use them innovatively;
• be capable of developing a technical solution suitable for the composition and carrying it out in practice.
