AimThe objective is to acquire the conservation/restoration methods of the wooden covered bindings within the practical work.
Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
• be familiar with the constructions, used materials and their qualities of the wooden covered bindings; • be able to identify different binding damages; • select a suitable restoration method based on the binding's material and damages; • perform practical conservation/restoration works based on the chosen method; • be able to document the performed works.
