• be able to detect the technical condition and finishing of an object; • be able to prepare the material necessary for detecting the finishing and to map the tests; • be able to analyze preparations in different lighting conditions and detect finishing materials; • be able to stabilize finishing layers and retouch them, if necessary; • be able to reconstruct polychromic surface finishes using traditional techniques.
