General description• Introduction, the principles of cultural heritage protection
• Damages of an object and a work plan • Applying the most important techniques of documenting and researching • Handling the most typical construction damages of an object during the restoration process • Conservation and restoration of different surface finishes (polychromy, polishing, gilding) • Conservation or reconstruction of different types of upholstered surfaces • Restoring interior design elements and constructions • Presentation Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
• handle consciously and taking into account the field specific ethical principles the cultural heritage trusted to them; • document, carry out or request necessary research and store the obtained information; • be able to make decisions during important restoration processes and will be ready to cooperate in professional projects; • have group work experience; • have experience of working for a client.
