General description• landscape and territory: the evolution of landscape;
• landscape as a territorial and aesthetic notion; • the historical forms of landscape: landscape as the representation of real estate in the period of early capitalism; • the dissolution of the aesthetic category in the genre of landscape • the reinvigoration of locus (space, place and region) in contemporary art; • space as the product and the indicator of social relations; • personal, historical and political loci and landscapes. Study outcomeOn successful completion of this course the students should be able to:
• have a systematic knowledge of one of the central genres of visual art: the landscape; • know how the landscape genre was formed and its contemporary importance; • navigate in the complexity of landscape genre and it's blurred borders; • create works on landscape that are relevant in the contemporary context; • critically assess the commercialization of landscape genre; • create effective and complete works in the landscape genre; • analyze the significatory potential of different loci as the source material for their work; • differentiate between typological and narrative photographic arrays; Is taught in following curricula2019: 2271 2018: 2271 2017: 2271 2016: 2271 2015: 2271 2014: 2271 2013: 2271
