Subject 'Practical Training I'

The study will take place on the object that is under restoration. The selection of the practical project and setting the object will be made according the requirements of the restorer’s professional standards and the aims set in the learning outcomes.

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• be familiar with materials, and have acquired the practical experience in preparing the natural paints;
• be capable of carrying out additional studies or clean important layers in interior décor;
• be familiar with the techniques for removing different paint layers and be able to select the presentation method that is the most suitable for the specific object;
• be familiar with the materials’ main qualities and necessary conservation techniques.
• be aware of the occupational safety standards and operational requirements for the work place.
