General description

• Introduction to ceramics and its possibilities
• Different material experimentations in ceramics
• Introduction to the main preparation methods (making a ceramic mold, covering it with décor, gazing, firing)

Study outcome

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• be familiar with the ceramics terms;
• be able to do the basic modelling, glueing and wheel throwing;
• be familiar with the basic principles of slipware and glazing;
• have an idea about the possibilities of ceramics.
