• Introduction to the physical and mechanical qualities of the material
• Overview about different wood types and drying
• Overview about the wood processing tools
• Overview about different finishing methods and materials
• Introduction to the application possibilities of glue-laminated wood and wood bonders in wood sculpture

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• have acquired the basic knowledge about wood material;
• be familiar with different wood types as sculpture materials and be able to select the most suitable solution for the wood sculpture.
