Aim

The aim of the final project is to demonstrate the student’s professional level and readiness for independent creative work after completing the courses of the curriculum.

Study outcome

Students presenting their final project in conservation/restoration will:
1. be able to set aims and plan their projects;
2. take the theoretical understandings and principles of restoration/conservation into consideration when setting the aims;
3. be able to set and define the problems and research questions regarding the subject, and be able to solve these problems with the methods appropriate to the assignment;
4. make ethical and justified choices when planning and carrying out their projects;
5. be able to find the specialty-related information, analyse it critically and implement it effectively;
6. be able to synthesize the knowledge and skills acquired within this curriculum, and to use the acquired experience in carrying out the project;
7. have the knowledge and skills to make a choice for suitable work techniques and resources, and be able to work with different partners;
8. be able to initiate the cooperation with a customer and work together;
9. be able to document their work stages and final result according to the requirements;
10. be able to analyse, justify and defend the result of their project.
