General description• the fundamentals of pixel graphics and digital photo processing — the skills and knowledge to be used in creative self-expression;
• the theory of digital photo processing ( channels; color systems – RGB, CMYK, LAB, HSB; color spaces/profiles; color management and the problems involved) ; • the theory of specific aspects of photographic post-processing: color correction; retouching; masking; composites; • planning the process for a work in pixel graphics: thinking; starting point, judging possible problems; finding solutions; • work on practical tasks: Photoshop user interface; retouching, special effects. Study outcomeOn successful completion of this course the students should be able to:
• use Photoshop software for the post-processing and preparation for different outputs (print, display); • knows the common color spaces and profiles; • knows the methods of color correction and color retouch, the needs and causes for these corrections; • can creatively construct a collage, envision the need for various collage elements and their combined effect in the end result; • can use pixel graphics methods for self-expression; understands the limitations and applications of different techniques; • analyze the problems that may arise and find effective solutions; Is taught in following curricula2019: 2271 2018: 2271 2017: 2271 2016: 2271
