Bauhaus, Scandinavian countries. • Postmodern interiors. • Principles of contemporary interior design. Study outcomeUpon completion of the course, students will:
• have the basic knowledge of different fields of decorative art, the development and transformation of form and ornaments in the history of style; • be familiar with the main principles of interior design and spatial planning, since the Middle Age till the middle of the 20th century; • the main historical styles and interior design practices of different eras, and be able to make difference between them by their characteristics of form; • be familiar with the main reasons and cultural background for the change of styles; • be able to describe and analyse different periods of styles, by using professional terminology.
