Subject 'Modelling. Free Clay Plastics and ????'

This course about free clay plastics focuses on clay as being an independent material, its formal characteristics, possibilities and aesthetics. Within this course, the students will examine the plastic characteristics and expressive means (texture, structure, refraction etc.) of clay in the free abstract form.

Upon completion of the course, students will:
• acknowledge the process of working with clay as the independent practical work with the material;
• be able to appreciate the technical, aesthetic and expressive values of the material;
• have made formal experimentations and developed a method for working with the idiosyncratic material.
