• be aware of the changes and developments in the art world from postmodernism to nowadays; • be familiar with the significant art developments during this period and be able to identify the greatest art movements and artists by observation; • be able to relate contemporary art pieces to social, historical and cultural developments in the society; • be aware of the versatility of the art (historical) movements in modern art and of different interpretations; • be aware of mechanisms of the contemporary art world.
