Subject 'Elementary Digital Technology'

• Overview of the operating systems, Windows and Mac, understanding their specifics and working principles;
• Introduction to the practical procedures in different operating systems necessary for the studies and practical assignments;
• Borrowing the department’s technology, using the reservation system, making a reservation, changing and cancelling it;
• Introduction to different cameras and recording media;
• Increasing the general competency of technology;
• The acquisition of the basic knowledge about digital and analogue technology.

The objective is to acquire the basic knowledge about the necessary technology for the professional work, its working principles and theory.

Upon completion of the course, students will:
1. have an overview of Mac operating system and be able to use it professionally;
2. have an overview of different cameras, recording media and their compatibility with different software packages;
3. be able to use correctly the reservation system of the department’s technology;
4. be able to use correctly the technology available in the department;
5. know the working principles and theory of the technology.
