General description

• Overview of copywriting, building the tone for a brand and copywriting for different types of media.

Aim

The objective is to give an overview of the copywriter’s work and advertorial copywriting for different brands and media outlets.

Study outcome

Upon completion of the course, students will:
1. comprehend the work of a copywriter in a design agency;
2. know the origins for creating the tone for a brand;
3. know the fundamentals of writing to different types of media;
4. be able to distinguish between a poorly written advertising copy and an influential advertising copy;
5. be able to avoid cliches.
