General description

• Overview of the basic concepts in dramaturgy and scriptwriting for film
• Introduction to the possible structural models of a scenario, to the character creation rules, and to the means for creating tension in the film
• Introduction to the scriptwriting software
• Exploring the specific nature of the short film and practicing writing a dramatic dialogue

Aim

The objective is to shape competency for writing and analysing film scripts.

Study outcome

Upon completion of the course, students will:
1. be able to analyse their work;
2. be able to justify dramaturgic decisions.
